Downtown Newton Sidewalk Sale is this Friday and Saturday, June 1-2
The public is invited to the Downtown Newton Sidewalk Sale set for Friday and Saturday, June 1-2, from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. each day. Approximately 40 downtown merchants and organizations will be participating in this special event, which will include prize giveaways, discounts, sales, and promotions.

NEWTON, NC (May 30, 2012) -- The public is invited to the Downtown Newton Sidewalk Sale set for Friday and Saturday, June 1-2, from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. each day. Approximately 40 downtown merchants and organizations will be participating in this special event, which will include prize giveaways, discounts, sales, and promotions.

Participants will include: Walker’s Pharmacy, Hi-Lites Ladies’ Clothing, Badas Boutique, H&W Drug, Mission Medical Practice, The Perfect Workout, 2 Pink Magnolias, Volume Hair & Nails Salon, Phostell’s Barber Shop, Dana’s Fine Jewelry, Fine Shoe Repair, Geppeto’s, Allstate Schwab Insurance Agency, The Observer News Enterprise & Outlook, City of Newton, Newton Fire Department, Newton Police Department, One Source Solutions, Alman’s Furniture, Picadilli Emporium, UCHS Gift & Thrift, Twin City Insurance, Callahan’s Café, The Studio Tattoo & Art Gallery, Newton Parks & Recreation Department, Catawba County Museum of History, Sophie Woman’s Magazine, BB&T, Edward Jones Investments, All Systems Pro, Abundant Life Book Store & Florist, Claremont Office Supply, Bank of Granite, Signs by Ernie, Marie & Twannette’s Bakery, Budokan Karate, and Rack-N-Roll Billiards.

This special two-day event is being coordinated by the staff of Walker’s Pharmacy, in memory of Paul Walker. “Downtown Newton is the place to be this weekend,” said Jessica Setzer, lead coordinator. “This Friday and Saturday, nearly 40 merchants will be working together, opening their doors, having sales out on the sidewalks, giving away prizes and introducing themselves to you like you have never seen before. Come on out and join the fun.”

The public is encouraged to visit downtown Newton during this special event and take advantage of the sale prices and promotions while getting to know the friendly downtown merchants.
