NEWTON, N.C. (Oct. 21, 2016)—Spooktacular returns to Downtown Newton on Saturday, Oct. 29.
The fun starts at 5 p.m. with a variety of activities around the 1924 Courthouse Square including trunk-or-treating, games, costume contests, rides, food vendors, live music, a haunted attraction, and photo-ops with costumed characters from your favorite movies.
The Newton Parks and Recreation Department will sponsor the Ghouls and Goblins Costume Contest for youth and adults beginning at 5 p.m. on the east side of the 1924 Courthouse. For more information about the costume contest, call the Newton Recreation Department at 828-695-4317.
Spooktacular is an old-fashioned fall festival. It’s family friendly and features storefront decorations, Halloween-themed inflatables, dinner concessions, and lots of candy.
