NEWTON, N.C. (May 19, 2016) —Newton welcomed Turner Finance to a new location in the city during a ribbon cutting ceremony on Friday, May 13.
Turner Finance offers small personal loans from their office at 24 South Brady Ave., Suite A. The business was founded by Nancy Turner, who has been serving clients in Newton since 1962. Turner Finance was previously located on North Main Avenue.
Turner said she has enjoyed working with friends and clients over the years in Newton. Today, she co-manages the business with her daughter, Chantae Ikard, and works with her granddaughter, Heidi Smathers. The office staff also includes Patti Speagle.
Ikard and Smathers said they were thankful for the opportunity to carry on Turner’s legacy of serving clients in the Newton area.
“We’re happy to have Turner Finance in this new location,” Newton Mayor Anne P. Stedman said during the ribbon cutting. “You’ve done a wonderful job of renovating this space, and we wish you continued success in Newton.”
