NEWTON, N.C. (Jan. 28, 2016)–The water service advisory issued Wednesday, Jan. 27, after a water main break has ended. City of Newton water customers no longer need to boil water before human consumption.
Water customers who experience air in their water lines or discoloration of water are asked to allow taps to run for several minutes to flush out any air or discoloration.
Newton prides itself on providing water of the highest quality to its customers. We apologize for the inconvenience caused by this advisory, and appreciate the patience of our customers as we worked to return the water system to normal operations.
