NEWTON, N.C. (Sept. 25, 2015) – The City of Newton Parks and Recreation Department and the Catawba County Council on Aging will offer two flu shot clinics in October.
The first clinic will be 10 a.m.-noon Friday, October 9. The second clinic will be 1-3 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 22. Both clinics will be held at the Newton Recreation Center, located at 23 South Brady Ave. in Newton. No appointment is necessary.
The flu vaccination costs $30. Medicare Part B recipients (please bring your Medicare card) and those on Humana Gold and Partners Advantage Plans will receive the vaccinations at no cost. Other insurance plans may be accepted the day of the clinic. If your insurance plan is not accepted, you may pay and submit to your plan for possible reimbursement.
