Parking restrictions in effect during Catawba County Justice Center renovation
NEWTON, N.C. – Authorities are enforcing temporary parking restrictions during the renovation of the Catawba County Justice Center.
Currently, visitors to the Justice Center must avoid parking adjacent to the chain-link fencing that surrounds the ongoing construction. Signs posted on the fencing advise against parking near it.
Additional no-parking zones may be created during construction. Drivers must avoid parking in areas designated by signs as no-parking zones.
Drivers who park in no-parking zones may face citations, towing or both.
The new parking deck off Northwest Boulevard at the southwest corner of the Justice Center is now open to visitors and will compensate for the loss of parking spaces during the renovation.
The parking restrictions are aimed at ensuring emergency vehicles remain able to navigate the roads surrounding the Justice Center.
The ongoing renovation of the Catawa County Justice Center will require parking restrictions unil construction is complete.
