Ribbon cutting held at Newton Antiques and Collectibles
NEWTON, NC (August 5, 2011) -- A ribbon-cutting ceremony was held at Newton Antiques and Collectibles on August 2. A large crowd attended the opening event at the location at 20 West 1st Street in downtown Newton.
Owners Walt and Gail Cranford have an impressive display of collectibles, antiques, and memorabilia featuring items such as a PEZ collection, hand-carved walking canes, antique jewelry, games, toys, pottery, glassware, pictures, comic books, and much more.
“I collect anything that I think somebody else might collect,” Mr. Cranford said with a smile.
A grand opening and open house is planned for Saturday, Sept. 10 from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. The public is cordially invited to visit the new store and enjoy refreshments while browsing the wide array of items on display.
Normal business hours are Monday through Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
