“I am looking forward to baking some amazing biscuits that I would have never thought about making before,” said Belinda Ellis, home economist for Renwood Mills. “We have had some delicious submissions in years past and look forward to baking and trying the recipes this year.”
Recipes need to use at least two cups of Southern Biscuit Self-Rising or All-Purpose Flour or Southern Biscuit Formula L Biscuit Mix and must be submitted by May 23. Three finalists will be invited to bring their biscuits on Southern Biscuit® Day, and judges will select a winner based on flavor, appearance and creativity.
The finalists will receive $50 and gifts from Southern Biscuit and have the opportunity to enjoy a free biscuit along with everyone in the town that day. One lucky winner will take home the grand prize of $250.00, and Renwood Mills will publish the recipe on its social media sites.
