NEWTON, NC (March 25, 2014) – The Newton Parks and Recreation Department is sponsoring the Central Community Yard Sale from 7 a.m. until noon Saturday, April 12 at Central Recreation Park, 301 Stadium Drive. This event is held in conjunction with the Newton Festival and Events Committee’s annual City-Wide Yard Sale.
A limited number of booths (12-feet by 12-feet) are available for a non-refundable fee of $5 per person. The deadline to reserve a space is 5 p.m. Friday, April 4. Pre-packaged food sales are permitted but no home baked goods may be sold. In the case of rain, the yard sale will take place in the gym.

The City-Wide Yard Sale is returning to the format of the past, with the Festival and Events Committee encouraging participants to set up yard sales at their own homes. The Committee will post a list and map of vendors on the City of Newton’s website and social media sites. In case of rain, the City-Wide Yard Sale will be held on April 19. To include your location on the vendor map, register by April 1 by contacting firstname.lastname@example.org.
