NEWTON, NC (Jan. 17, 2014) – The Newton Business Advisory Committee invites business owners and guests to attend the second annual Newton Business Meeting. “Business Chronology Celebration” begins at 5 p.m. Feb. 27 at the Old Post Office Playhouse, 10 S. Main Ave.
Newton Business Advisory Committee Chairman Jerry Hodge said, “The purpose of the meeting is to recognize and celebrate the Newton business community and to initiate the energy to allow businesses to move forward and be successful in the future.”
The Business Advisory Committee will recognize businesses and celebrate when the business was established. Refreshments will be available and the event will conclude with a networking session.

The mission of the Business Advisory Committee is to generate commercial economic development that will benefit all citizens of the City of Newton by improving the attractiveness of the entire City for the creation of new businesses and for the expansion of existing businesses.
Current members of the Business Advisory Committee are Chairman Jerry Hodge, Joe Beaman, Don Essary, Nick Martin, Jeremy Petty, Donny Setzer and Tom Warlick.
