Eastern Sky CDC hosts ribbon cutting ceremony

NEWTON, NC (Nov. 25, 2013) – Eastern Sky Child Development Center held a ribbon cutting ceremony Nov. 20 celebrating the opening of the learning center.

Eastern Sky CDC, 1432 Old Conover-Startown Road, offers a program covering science, math, language arts, music, movement and arts to aid in the spiritual, social, emotional, cognitive and physical development of each child.

Newton Mayor Anne P. Stedman stated, “What a blessing it is to have these halls filled with young voices. We welcome you and wish you the best of luck.”

Eastern Sky CDC Director Deanna Watts said, “It is an honor to be given the opportunity to come into the church and Pastor (Warren Marcum) said, ‘Here, here’s the church. Lets get out there and teach these children and spread the word.’ We are so honored to be able to reach out to our community.”
