Couple earns May "Yard of the Month" honor

NEWTON, NC (May 7, 2013) – Kyle Smith and Julie Ingle of South Brady Avenue in Newton were honored with the May 2013 "Yard of the Month" award, presented by the Newton Appearance Commission.

“I don’t consider it a chore or a task,” Julie Ingle said of maintaining their yard. “I consider it a privilege to do.”

The City of Newton expresses its congratulations to Kyle Smith and Julie Ingle for being selected for the May 2013 “Yard of the Month” award.

 About the Newton Appearance Commission… The Newton Appearance Commission makes a careful study of the visual problems and needs of the city and the area comprising the Extra-Territorial Jurisdiction of the city. The commission makes plans and carries out any programs that will enhance and improve the visual quality and aesthetic characteristics of the city. Members are appointed by the City Council.
