Ribbon cutting held at Thrifty Village

NEWTON, NC (September 5, 2012) – A ribbon cutting was held at Thrifty Village in downtown Newton on September 5 as City of Newton officials and staff welcomed mother-and-daughter owners Mary Wagner and Jennifer Bara to the city.

The new thrift store is located at 118 West A Street, in the former location of the Salvation Army store. Wagner and Bara have put many hours into the new store, stocking and designing its layout.

The store, which officially opened on August 27, offers something for almost everyone, including clothing, furniture, electronics, toys, household items, and much more – all at bargain prices.

Thrifty Village is open Monday through Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
