Ribbon cutting held at So Chic Salon
NEWTON, NC (July 26, 2012) -- A ribbon cutting was held July 26 at So Chic Salon, which has relocated to the Marketplace Shopping Center (beside Bi-Lo) in Newton. City officials, staff, and business leaders attended the ribbon cutting to welcome owner Tammy Rowe and her talented staff to the City of Newton.
"So Chic Salon believes that beauty is everywhere, and it just takes the hands of a talented artist to expose it," Ms. Rowe stated. "Our staff looks forward to servicing our friends and neighbors with all of their hair care needs."
Ms. Rowe said her salon's mission is to "provide outstanding quality and affordable hair services, and to develop a relationship with our clients as their trusted friend as well as their hair-care partner."
The highly-trained and talented staff of So Chic Salon includes: Katrina Swartz, who has 16 years experience, completed the Matrix Color Intense Program, is a Lanza hair-color specialist, and is a curly-hair specialist; James Dixon, who graduated from Paul Mitchell with make-up honors; Sherrie Rice, who graduated from Carolina College of Hair Design, specializing in the CHI Straightening System and vivid colors; and Tammy Rowe, who graduated from Cosmetic Arts Academy and the Helix Hair Academy, specializing in the Helix Tazz and Helix Sculpture Cutting.
The salon's grand opening will be Wednesday, August 1, with an open house on Saturday, August 4 from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
So Chic Salon offers hair care for children, men, and women. Hours of operation are Tuesday through Friday from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., and Saturday from 11:00 a.m. until, with extended hours by appointment. Walk-ins are welcome.
