NEWTON, NC (August 6, 2012) -- “We Care About You.” That is the reason that the Newton-Conover City Schools and the Newton Police Department recently unveiled a new Facebook page entitled “NCCS Stop-A-Crime,” which will serve as a useful tool for students who wish to report a crime while remaining anonymous.stop a crime

By clicking the “message” button on the Facebook page, students can now use this popular social media site to submit information concerning criminal activity that occurs at school. The information will be reviewed by a school resource officer who will determine if an investigation is warranted.

The Newton Police Department and NCCS encourage students to utilize this Facebook page to help ensure safety and deter crime at school.
