"Newton 101" Citizens Academy concludes with graduation

NEWTON, NC (November 7, 2011) -- The 2011 “Newton 101” Citizens Academy concluded on Oct. 27 with a social, question-and-answer session, and graduation at Newton City Hall.

Newton Mayor Robert A. Mullinax and City Manager Todd Clark presented certificates and a t-shirt to each graduate.

The third annual academy included tours of city facilities, presentations from city departments, a local history lesson, and an opportunity to meet elected officials and department heads.
