Hallmark Gold Crown Ribbon Cutting
NEWTON, NC (Oct. 8, 2018)—2 Pink Magnolias celebrated its new partnership with Hallmark Cards, Inc. during a ribbon cutting ceremony to open a Hallmark Gold Crown department in the Downtown Newton gift store on Oct. 4.
2 Pink Magnolias is located at 211 North College Ave. and offers a modern shopping experience with small-town charm. The store opened in 2010 and is owned by Rebecca Stiver and Jennifer Stiver, a mother-daughter. Jennifer Stiver said she was pleased at the potential for growth and development Hallmark saw in Downtown Newton when their offices contacted her about opening a Hallmark Gold Crown department in Downtown Newton. In addition to greeting cards, 2 Pink Magnolias offers a variety of other Hallmark products including Keepsake Ornaments, gift wrap, stationery, baby gifts, puzzles, and several licensed and artist collections.
“What I appreciate so much about this gift store and the opening of this new Hallmark Gold Crown department is that you truly care about Newton,” Mayor Anne P. Stedman said to the Stivers. “You’re doing your part, and I know a lot of people in this room are doing their part. It’s wonderful to see Newton moving toward such a bright future.”
“It is such a pleasure, on behalf of the Catawba County Chamber of Commerce, to see this growth and development of your dream come true,” said Connie Saunders, Shareholder Relations and Event Manager for the Catawba County Chamber of Commerce. “You had a vision, and you’ve worked to see it come true.”
The Hallmark partnership complements 2 Pink Magnolias’ existing in-store experience by providing customers with a convenient place to find Hallmark greeting cards for the special occasions in their lives. The Hallmark Gold Crown department includes cards for year-round occasions and holidays such as Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas.
“Hallmark is a compelling, respected brand with a strong history, and their products truly make a difference in people’s lives,” Jennifer Stiver said. “We're excited to bring Hallmark to our store and to make it easier for our customers to communicate, connect and celebrate special times.”
For more than 100 years the Hallmark brand has been bringing joy and smiles to those who receive a Hallmark card or gift and has helped people acknowledge special events, express appreciation, and capture memories and milestones. By integrating a Hallmark Gold Crown department, 2 Pink Magnolias continues to innovate and add even more choice and convenience for its shoppers.
“We understand the diverse needs of our customers and are constantly seeking ways to enhance their shopping experience,” Jennifer Stiver said. “By integrating a Hallmark Gold Crown department into 2 Pink Magnolias, we are continuing to show our commitment to our customers by providing exciting and unexpected options.”
