Lucre's Restaurant Ribbon Cutting
NEWTON, NC (May 4, 2018)—Newton welcomed Lucre’s Restaurant to the city during a ribbon cutting ceremony on Friday, May 4.
Lucre’s Restaurant is now open and is located at 1901 Northwest Blvd., Suite V, in Plaza Latina.
Owner Francisca Chavez said it has been her dream to open a restaurant since she was young. She said she is proud to now have her own restaurant and thanked her son, Eliser Cruz, for helping her accomplish her goal.
Lucre’s serves a variety of authentic Mexican cuisine, including tacos, tortas, burritos, quesadillas, and enchiladas. Chavez said two of her specialties are pambazos and huaraches. Pambazos are special sandwiches dipped in red sauce, and huaraches are long, handmade tortillas topped with beans, cheese, lettuce, and sour cream.
Newton Mayor Anne P. Stedman welcomed Lucre’s Restaurant to the city during the ribbon cutting.
“We’re happy to have this new restaurant in Newton,” she said. “We wish you much success.”
Lucre’s Restaurant is open 8 a.m.-9 p.m. Monday-Saturday and 8 a.m.-6 p.m. Sunday. Contact the restaurant by calling 704-325-0261.
