Message from the Chief

Although I have recently accepted the position as Chief of Police, I am not a newcomer to police work. I have been an officer with the City of Newton since 1988. It is very important to me to be available to the citizens of Newton. If I can assist with any law enforcement concerns, please contact me at the Newton Police Department.

I will oversee our mission to provide police services to our community in a manner that promotes a partnership with our citizens that enhances the quality of life for everyone. I want to assure our citizens that our officers are providing their best services to our community.

This department is committed to working together with the community to enforce the laws of our state as well as local ordinances without prejudice or favor for the safety and well being of our Newton citizens.
