Newton Fire Department Recruiting

The City of Newton Fire Department is continuously seeking individuals with a desire and dedication to serve there community. Reserve firefighters with the Newton Fire Department are considered part-time employees. Reserves are paid per hour for incidents and training, and are provided with a variety of other benefits. Each new reserve is expected to complete Firefighter I within 30 months from the date of employment and maintain 65 hours a year of firefighter training. Each new reserve, once being hired, will be enrolled into the North Carolina State Fireman's Association.
