Our facility features cardiovascular equipment, free weight and strength training machines to help you achieve your fitness goals.
Newton Fitness Center caters to all walks of life, from the young to the young at heart, from the first-timer to the competitive athlete. Our state-of-the-art facility combines with our trained and knowledgeable staff will maximize your health experience with us. Our staff is here to assist you with you fitness needs.

Fitness Center Guidelines - For Your Safety
>Age Requirements: 18 & Older, Children 13-17, must be accompanied by their parent with a fitness membership.
>Children under the age of thirteen (13) are strictly prohibited from entering the fitness room.
>User fees are not transferable or refundable. Unused time cannot be credited. If you don’t use it, you lose it.
>Each individual who uses the fitness center must present a valid user ID card issued by the Parks & Recreation Department.
>There is not a charge for the initial ID card. However, if a new card has to be issued there will be a $5.00 replacement fee for each occurrence.
>Membership card is property of City of Newton and must be returned upon cancellation of membership.
>Patrons should consult their physician to determine exercise limitations before using equipment.
>All patrons must be aware that participation in any physical activity could have inherent and unforeseeable risks that may cause injury, harm or death.
>No shower facilities available.
>Appropriate exercise attire required. Shirts must be worn at all time. Jeans are not allowed.
>For your protection, please do not wear open-toed shoes or sandals of any type. Athletic footwear is required.
>Twenty (20) minutes per unit if others are waiting.
>Return all weights and equipment to designated areas.
>After use, please wipe down machines with wipes provided.
>Using the facility for personal gain or profit is prohibited.
>Personal Training is not allowed.
>Food, soft drinks and tobacco products are not allowed in the fitness center. Plastic water bottles are welcome and glass is prohibited. >Weight plates should be lowered slowly. Please do not drop!
>Individuals must enter & exit the fitness center through the designated turnstiles or areas.
>Please be respectful of other patrons in the fitness center and refrain from using cell phones, profanity or engaging in any type of disruptive behavior that is offensive or disturbs other users.
>City of Newton is not responsible for items left unattended or misplaced.
>Patrons suspected of being under the influence of alcohol, drugs or narcotics will be denied access to the facility.
>The City of Newton reserves the right to deny privileges to any individual who does not adhere to the facility guidelines or endangers other users, staff or themselves. Financial reimbursement will not be given due to loss of privileges. Loss of privileges includes the use of any City facility or participation in any program.
>Members are encouraged to call the department before coming to the fitness room on bad weather days.
>The Department will observe the following Holidays; New Years Day, Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Easter, Independence Day, Labor Day, Memorial Day, Thanksgiving Day and Christmas
