Catawba Valley Community College Continuing Education Classes

The Newton Parks and Recreation Department and CVCC are proud to present the following workshops which are sure to interest you or someone you know. Classes will be held at the Newton Recreation Center at 23 South Brady Avenue, Newton, NC.

Quilting: Back to the Basics Workshop– In the 4-week workshop, students will continue to decide what size quilt and what pattern you want to make. You will make start with the basics and go from there. Designed for the beginner to intermediate students. The fee for the class is $25 per person. The class will be held on Mondays, November 6 - December 4, 2017 from 9:00am to 12:00pm. Instructor for the class is Mary Ann Parkhurst. 

Needle Fun Workshop – In this 4-week workshop, students will continue this course to instruct needle crafter's of all skill levels. Variety is the spice of life in this class as participants choose which needle you want to use. It could be a knitting needle, an embroidery needle, or even a crochet hook. The class will be held on Tuesdays, November 14 - December 12, 2017 from 9:00am to 12:00pm.  Cost for the class is $25.00. Instructor for the class is Mary Ann Parkhurst.
