Support services cover many aspects of the daily operations of the police department. This division consists of records, communications, and parking enforcement. Our Telecommunicators are trained professionals that answer all 911 Emergency phone calls and the majority of the administrative telephone calls to the department. Telecommunicators answer roughly 150 administrative telephone calls and nine (9) emergency 911 calls each day. Our communications division operates 24/7 and provides after-hours telephone support and communications for all city departments. Each Telecommunicator works permanent 12-hour shifts and works with the same patrol platoon daily which helps to establish an enhanced working relationship.
