Our Reserve Platoon is staffed by officers who maintain full-time jobs in the private sector but spend a mandatory (16) hours a month working for the police department. Reserves also assist in coverage for various special events that are handled by the police department such as Old Soldier Reunion. Reserves are required to maintain the same level of certifications as full-time officers. Reserves must attend annual in-service training to stay current on the latest law enforcement techniques and legal updates. The Reserve Platoon is supervised by Sergeant Jason Briggs who is responsible for managing their work schedule and training.
